Origin/parentage
Rutgers Fruit Research and Development Center, USA. It has a complex, multi generational origin. It was developed by crossing two breeding selections, PCFW2 134 and PRI 669 205. Its pedigree includes the cultivars Golden Delicious, Rome, Jonathan, Melba and Malus floribunda
Bearing
Slower onset of bearing; later the yields are stable and the cultivar is not prone to biennial bearing.
Growth
moderate, rather weak.
Health condition
resistant to scab, highly susceptible to powdery mildew
Harvest/storage
harvest at the end of September to early October; storage until December, in ULO/CA storage until March to April

It is one of the sweetest scab resistant cultivars.

Usage

A dessert apple ideal for fresh consumption; thanks to its firmness it is also excellent for baking, in pies, or for preparing sliced apples, as the flesh browns only very slowly when exposed to air.

At the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering at SPU in Nitra, we've created a project that offers visitors to our plantings a new way to discover the beauty and intriguing aspects of plants. Each plant in our plantings has its own unique QR code. All a visitor needs to do is scan this code with their smartphone.
